David Njuguna

My name is David Njuguna. I am 22 years of age. I acquired my skills at Eastlands College of Technology through the ‘Unda Future Program’. I am an automotive technician having a NITA grade 1 certificate and currently, I work at Simba Colt Motors working in Mitsubishi Electrical Department and on the side I have been professionally repairing and maintaining Super motorbikes for one year and a half. I want to be the best automotive technician in the region (East and Central Africa) because I believe in excellence, quality and trust in my work. These are skills I acquired from Eastlands College of Technology What makes me unique is that I am very passionate about mechanics. The dual training system at Eastlands College of Technology has helped me a lot to get into the job market easily. During the training, the programme provided me with exposure to what was happening in the market and field. My dream is to have a fully equipped garage and provide employment to other youths. As a parting shot I urge all the youth to embrace opportunities given to them by the Government and other partners through training in TVET institutions. They should take it seriously because the future is in technical vocational education.
