Springboard Touch Rugby Festivals 2018 (STRuF18)

On Saturday 25th of August, Eastlands College of Technology hosted the Springboard Touch Rugby Festival (STRuF) at the College Grounds. This was the second season of the tournament and it attracted a total of 15 teams from within Nairobi County.

ECT’s Homeez RFC Captain, Dennis Mutinda, is tackled by Mohspice RFC players during the tournament.

The tournament began at 9AM and ended at 3PM. The winners of the Main Cup were Mospice RFC while the runners up were Rugby Players Fellowship (RPF). The Challenge cup went to Wakoloni RFC whereas the runners up were Athi RFC.

Games in Action.

The winners in the main cup took home Kshs. 15, 000, runners up Kshs. 10, 000 while the third position had Kshs. 5, 000. The idea behind STRUF is to create a chance for students, industrial partners and other stakeholders to interact.
