New students who have joined or the different courses in ECT got a rare Opportunity to be oriented on Thursday 18th February 2016. This occasion was graced by all ECT staff members who had wise words to share with the incoming students. A short tour of the college from the workshop building to the new classroom block preceded the main talks.
Warm introduction to familiarize the students to staff members was done. Among the people who delivered speeches were Simon Nderito (Operations assistant), Jeremiah Nyarotso (Academic Registrar), Martin Mundia (Dean Of Students) and Austine Omeno (Principal).
Through the short speeches, issue of maintaining high standards, keeping ethical codes being responsible and what is expected of the students were reiterated by staff members.
The orientation comes on the wake of new ECT courses which started early this year, among them Electrical wiring, Plumbing, Welding and fabrication (NITA courses), New batch for both diploma and certificate and also the short SOCA and YEP courses.
