Each year, Eastlands College of Technology members of staff and students as well as friends of the College set off for a 3-day team building excursion at Mt. Kenya.
This year it ran from 5th to 7th June; where a total of 15 members managed to reach the summit and back. They had been joined by a group of 8 university students and professionals from Ireland.
It was a challenging undertaking to the majority of those who partook but later on it turned out to be a wonderful achievement to conquer the second highest mountain in Africa. It was more than climbing as attested by some climbers; there were many lessons learnt in the process from Mother Nature as well as the interaction between the Irish and Kenyan participants.
