On the afternoon of Friday 6th July 2018, Eastlands College of Technology students battled it out in a soccer match with the staff members at the College football grounds.The match had been anticipated impatiently by both sides with thorough preparation. The match began at 3: 30 PM and ended with a tie of 1-1.

The extra time also ended fruitlessly; penalties had to decide the winner therefore. It is at this time that the Staff team thrashed the Student team 5-2. The latter conceded but promised a revenge in a future match.
