In the mid-morning of Monday 26th September 2016 at around 11:20 am, His Excellency Harald Gunther the Austrian ambassador to Kenya in company of Mr. Kurt Mullauer, the Commercial Counselor paid a visit to Eastlands College of Technology. They were warmly received by Mr. Austine Omeno, Principal ECT, Mr. Andrew Olea Project manager of ECT, Mr. Emmanuel Oduor Finance Administrative Director ECT and Mr. Jeremiah Siang’ani the Registrar and Industrial Coordinator ECT.
The visitors had a meeting with the College’s management team and later, were given a college tour which was led by the Principal and others in his company.
His Excellency the ambassador was impressed by the activities which take place in the college; this was evident when he was led to the workshop building of the college. He was shown some of the students’ projects which really enthused him.
This was a courtesy visit in preparation for the possible visit of the Austrian foreign Minister who is expected in the country this month.
